Residential Terms and Conditions

At Enhance Metal Roofing, we believe clear, honest communication builds trust – and trust is the foundation of everything we do. These Terms and Conditions outline what you can expect when engaging us for your roofing project.

1. Accepting a Quote
When you approve a quote from us, you’re also agreeing to these terms. We encourage you to read them carefully and ask questions — we’re here to help you feel confident every step of the way.
2. Payment Schedule
To keep your project on track, we have a staged payment structure based on the total value of your project:
• 20% initial progress claim due upon quote acceptance
• 50% progress claim due upon delivery of materials to site and/or site establishment
• 30% balance due upon project completion
Payment terms are strictly 7 days from the date of invoice.
Late payments may attract interest (at current bank overdraft rates), and clients are responsible for any debt collection costs incurred.
3. Repairs & Leak Investigations
Roof repairs and leak detection are often a process of elimination. Due to the unpredictable nature of leaks, we cannot offer guarantees on repair works. However, we’ll always be upfront about what’s being done and aim to resolve issues with integrity and diligence.
4. Variations & Additional Work
If additional works arise — such as structural damage, asbestos, or scaffold needs — we’ll notify you and provide a revised quote for approval before proceeding. This ensures you stay in control of your budget.
We require written approval for all variations.
5. Structural & Compliance Matters
We are not responsible for any unforeseen structural damage or associated requirements such as engineering reports or council certifications. These remain the responsibility of the property owner.
6. Continuity of Work
We aim to carry out your job without interruptions, but delays may occur due to weather, safety, or supplier-related issues. If delays happen, we’ll communicate clearly and return as soon as we safely can.
7. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond our control, such as severe weather, accidents, or industrial action.
8. Incidental or Internal Damage
Although rare, incidental damage (e.g. to ceiling linings) may occur during roofing works. Enhance Metal Roofing cannot be held liable for such outcomes unless caused by gross negligence.
9. Insurance Cover
For your peace of mind, we hold:
* $20 million in Public Liability Insurance
* Full Workers’ Compensation Insurance
* Offer HBCF Insurance on all residential projects over $20,000 (inc GST)
10. Roof Battens & Structural Elements
Unless specifically listed in your quote, we will reuse your existing roof battens. If these are found to be unsuitable during works, we’ll discuss options and costs for replacement with you right away.
11. Inclusions & Exclusions
Please refer to the Inclusions and Exclusions provided with your quote. It offers helpful detail about what is and isn’t part of the agreed scope of work. If you’re unsure about anything, we’re just a call away.
12. Quote Validity
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and may be subject to review after that period.
